Cut
Cut is a short film about grief and moving on after a break-up.
Layla has recently been dumped by her ex boyfriend, Jake, and is struggling to move on.
This was a personal project, started just after finishing university. I was inspired the various ups and downs that is relationships in your early 20s, especially as a young women who experiences emotions so strongly.

Character Design
Various exploratory sketches and final concepts of the characters that appear in the film.
Due to the simple visual style, expressions became one of the biggest focuses in depicting each characters personality.
Colour Script & Environment
Thumbnails and final concepts of the Pub, bedroom and Layla's house.
Using Layla's bedroom as an expression of her mental state by having her stuff, especially the memories box, strewn all over the floor.
